If so, the Team Kanban Practitioner (TKP) class is for you!

This 1-day Team Kanban Practitioner (TKP) introductory-level Kanban training class, certified by Lean Kanban University, introduces introduces core concepts of Kanban and how you can use Kanban to get your team’s work under control through interactive teaching and discussion along with group exercises and games. You will also experience building an actual Team Kanban task board!

This course is part of the Alternative Path to Agility series. The full series is designed to be taken in order and includes the following 3 classes:

  • 1-day Team Kanban Practitioner (TKP)
  • 2-day Kanban System Design (KMP I)
  • 2-day Kanban Management Professional (KMP II)

Who Should Attend?

Team Kanban Practitioner (TKP) training is for anyone wanting to learn the core concepts of Kanban and get started at the team level.

Learning Objectives

As a Team Kanban Practitioner (TKP) participant, you will learn core concepts of Kanban and how you can use Kanban to get your team’s work under control. This class also covers visualization of different types of work and associated risk. By the end of training, you will have learned how to:

  • Understand core concepts of the Kanban Method
  • Learn the 4 types of Team Kanban systems and when each is appropriate
  • How to run daily Kanban meetings
  • How to proceed to the next level with Kanban
     

Participants Receive

Each participant in the Team Kanban Practitioner (TKP) class will receive the following: 

  • Courseware and materials
  • Certificate of Completion of LeanKanban University’s Certified Kanban Training
  • Membership in Lean Kanban University and listing in the LKU Alumni Directory
  • A digital copy of the book Kanban by David J. Anderson

Prerequisites

All experience levels for Team Kanban Practitioner (TKP) training are welcome. No previous Kanban training or experience is required.

Mark Noneman

Mark Noneman has been a Lean and Kanban practitioner for over 10 years applying, adapting, teaching and coaching Kanban and Lean development in a wide variety of software and non-software environments. He has worked in many industries including engineering, financial services, insurance, real estate and technology. As a trainer, Mark enjoys working with people to show them the value of visualizing their work and helping them continuously improving their ability to deliver.

Cancellation Policy
The Madison Henry Group accepts participant substitutions or postponements for classes at any time. Participant cancellations must be made via email. Madison Henry shall provide refunds for participant cancellations as follows:

  • More than 10 days prior = 80% of course fee
  • 5 to 10 days prior = 50% of course fee
  • Less than 5 days = no refund provided

The Madison Henry Group reserves the right to postpone or cancel this class. Should a postponement or cancellation occur, you will be notified no later than 7 days prior to the class. All registration payments will be refunded promptly or, if you prefer, applied to a future class.
